Dear Trinh,

Thank you very much for sharing these devotionals. George has specified that the devotionals posted in our forum should be original, written by the member. All the forwards should be posted in the Family of God Chat room. That way we can concentrate on prayer requests, fellowship and personal attention.

Thank you very much. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts.May God bless you and keep you under His protection.

Noonday Devotion by Keith

Devotion 1

Psalm 71
7 I am as a wonder and surprise to many, but You are my strong refuge
Do you feel that people look at you like this? Indeed members of your family and even your friends think you are strange and even odd.
It is then that you can run straight to your refuge, you know the Father God has his arms open wide and you can hide under the shadow of his wings, where no one and I mean no one can reach you. Psalm 91:1-2

Let us always remember that we have a refuge and strong tower in our Lord and always run to Him and never away from Him, as he longs and wants to help us.
Remember that you are not a wonder to God, you are wonderful to God and very precious. You were worth the life of His SON. Doesn't that prove how important you are to God?

Can I have an amen here!!!!

Keith

Devotion 2

Ezekiel 33
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

As I was walking and talking to the Lord yesterday. The Lord brought this subject to my attention and this verse sums it up. This question I ask myself. How many opportunities do we give up to share the gospel?. I know over the course of a year, it must be in the hundreds or even thousands. We stand at the check out at the grocery store/supermarket and we talk about sports, news easily and wont open our mouths for the Lord.

This great chapter, Ezekiel 33 talks about watchmen, we are watchmen. We have been given the responsibility of sharing the gospel, with people.

It says in Romans 10

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

We are to be warning people of the dangers of hell and sin, if we do not then God will ask Why, what would be my/your excuse?

The Great missionary CT Studd once said "Some people want to be born within the sound of church or chapel bell, I want to have a mission post, within a yard of Hell".
May we take every opportunity God gives us to share the gospel

Have a wonderful week everyone

Keith

"All that believe are justified." – Acts 13:39

The believer in Christ receives a present justification. Faith does not produce this fruit by-and-by, but now. So far as justification is the result of faith, it is given to the soul in the moment when it closes with Christ, and accepts him as its all in all. Are they who stand before the throne of God justified now?-so are we, as truly and as clearly justified as they who walk in white and sing melodious praises to celestial harps. The thief upon the cross was justified the moment that he turned the eye of faith to Jesus; and Paul, the aged, after years of service, was not more justified than was the thief with no service at all. We are to-day accepted in the Beloved, to-day absolved from sin, to-day acquitted at the bar of God. Oh! soul-transporting thought! There are some clusters of Eshcol's vine which we shall not be able to gather till we enter heaven; but this is a bough which runneth over the wall. This is not as the corn of the land, which we can never eat till we cross the Jordan; but this is part of the manna in the wilderness, a portion of our daily nutriment with which God supplies us in our journeying to and fro. We are now-even now pardoned; even now are our sins put away; even now we stand in the sight of God accepted, as though we had never been guilty. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." There is not a sin in the Book of God, even now, against one of his people. Who dareth to lay anything to their charge? There is neither speck, nor spot, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing remaining upon any one believer in the matter of justification in the sight of the Judge of all the earth. Let present privilege awaken us to present duty, and now, while life lasts, let us spend and be spent for our sweet Lord Jesus.

"I am crucified with Christ." – Galatians 2:20

The Lord Jesus Christ acted in what he did as a great public representative person, and his dying upon the cross was the virtual dying of all his people. Then all his saints rendered unto justice what was due, and made an expiation to divine vengeance for all their sins. The apostle of the Gentiles delighted to think that as one of Christ's chosen people, he died upon the cross in Christ. He did more than believe this doctrinally, he accepted it confidently, resting his hope upon it. He believed that by virtue of Christ's death, he had satisfied divine justice, and found reconciliation with God. Beloved, what a blessed thing it is when the soul can, as it were, stretch itself upon the cross of Christ, and feel, "I am dead; the law has slain me, and I am therefore free from its power, because in my Surety I have borne the curse, and in the person of my Substitute the whole that the law could do, by way of condemnation, has been executed upon me, for I am crucified with Christ."
But Paul meant even more than this. He not only believed in Christ's death, and trusted in it, but he actually felt its power in himself in causing the crucifixion of his old corrupt nature. When he saw the pleasures of sin, he said, "I cannot enjoy these: I am dead to them." Such is the experience of every true Christian. Having received Christ, he is to this world as one who is utterly dead. Yet, while conscious of death to the world, he can, at the same time, exclaim with the apostle, "Nevertheless I live." He is fully alive unto God. The Christian's life is a matchless riddle. No worldling can comprehend it; even the believer himself cannot understand it. Dead, yet alive! crucified with Christ, and yet at the same time risen with Christ in newness of life! Union with the suffering, bleeding Saviour, and death to the world and sin, are soul-cheering things. O for more enjoyment of them!
