Re: [FamilyofGod] stealing
Wanda not sure if your addressing my question as I am forgiving all people who hurt me and believe me there is hundreds. I have been taught by Pastors, Chriatian counselors and Christian groups to forgive but that does not mean I go around with my pocket book open as a temptation for those who want to steal. Just like any sin we can do things to draw them into it. I use to leave my purse open all the time and never thought much about it as I trusted people. I realized that its not wise to do that in a world full of crime. We do have to take precaution in protecting our body, mind, spirt and yes our money too. I was never taught boundries as a child and that is why so many bad things happened to me. I didn't know that I had a right to set boundries. Jesus also set boundries in his life on earth. He even told his own mother to let him alone as he needed to leave and go preach. He had to make time alone alot to get strength. As humans we also have to remember Jesus is God and is perfect we are not. I use to think we had to be perfect in order for God to love us and so many people think that way so they never give their lives to Jesus. No one can be perfect except Jesus. He was half God and half man. We are all human and we are weak in our strength. I know I have to ask Jesus everyday to help me in my walk as temptation is everywhere.

hi jonathan i see your point. Then i think about the Lords prayer about forgiving our debters. Something that I have done in the past but sadly I owed a debt from a loan from a Christian and her best friend was my astranged sister who hated he. This person I loaned money from knew my dire situations and she agreed to sign a paper at her bank with a notery that I would pay her when my house sold. being that she is a millionare and has no need for the money she loaned me I didn't think she would do what she did. She claims to be a christian and yet she took me to court and sued me for the money and had my car conviscated by the sheriff inorder to get her money back. We are talking about $1,600. I had all intentions of paying her when I sold my house. Because my sister hates me she talked her friend into sueing me just to get enjoyment out of making me suffer with no car living in the country. Neither have ever appoligized or talked to me. They both attend church and act self rightious like I am some sort of loser. I even called their pastor and asked him if it was right for a Christian to sue a Christian. he agreed it was not right but because this person gave so much to the church he never confronted her. SO now there is this big wall between my sister and I. I can forgive but it was so wrong to do that. I am fraid that sort of thing paints a picture of the type of peole they are and I am not sure I want subject myself to that kind of person. Sister or not. This story about has nothing to do with the person who stole from me. I so want to just forgive this person and not bring it up.. Yet my heart aches because I can't believe this person did this to me. It was my grandson. he stole a $100 from me. If we are to forgive out debters then that means no punishment right?Bonnie

If you let it go they will probably steal from you again. Confronting them and asking them to pay you back forces them to take responsibility for their actions and think twice before they do it again.Just my opinion.Jonathan-------Original Message----- --If a loved one stole from you would you let it go or confront that person? Would you make them pay you back or just forgive them and let it go?Bonnie
