I have received emails from people attempting to convert me to their religion on two seperate occasions, as was the claim from some of you, and now I have someone one attempting to solicate funds for an orphanage in Africa. Although I give generously to charities and am in support of many ministries at home and oversees, I do find it offensive when someone uses my email from a prayer site to solicate for funds for any cause, no matter how ligitimate. I know it is not the fault of the moderators but the idiviual themselves. This prayer site and others like it are very personal, where we open up our hearts and lives tocomplete strangers, although brothers and sisters in Christ. There is a security here where, personally and unfortunately, I cannot find in any church I have been to because of the anonyminity it allows. In church fellowship you risk the possibility of gossip and being judged by those that seemingly know you no matter what the circumstance. .. even for standing and believing God for a miracle. On this site, we are able to continually and openly share what God is doing in our lives and we are able to encourage one another to keep the focus on Christ Jesus, and not our circumstances. Its a safe place to grow and mature in Him.
To turn around and violate people's trust in using theiremails without their permission for personal gain is not acceptable and I know it is not what this site is intended for. So I appeal to the people who are continually sending me or my brethren private emails that involve any kind of solicitation without their permission to please stop what your doing and let this prayer site and those involved in it be free from all the commercialism. We already know where to find you if that is what we want. Please have a good day and may our All-knowing, All-powerful, Everywhere God help you comply with this request.
