Family of God: RE: [FamilyofGod] URGENT Prayer for Leimomi!

Dearest Father, be with you child, Leimomi. Give her strength to endure; give a heart of compassion to others in the church. We, alone, are not God, only together can we be the body of Christ. A handful of people isn’t enough: they are exhausted and Leimomi can’t get the full support she needs. Father God, if a cattle prod is what it takes...

Help Jolene know what her part is in this, she can’t be hands, feet, ears, mind, heart, and full body, she is not God. Help Jolene to keep on whatever path you have given her; so often the good becomes the enemy of the best for us. Every church has many needs, many callings, and all good, but what is the best for each of us: help us hear the still small voice.

Inhabit these prayers, bring them on wings of angels to Leimomi and may they strengthen her once again. IJN

Jolene: don’t know if this help, but many cities have some form of transport for the blind above and beyond the regular buses etc. Ours around Phila isn’t the greatest, but if I have to go somewhere not familiar or hard/dangerous to get to, I will use it.

FG brethren, I just had to pause for a moment amid my devotions and breakfast preps to ask if some of you can pray immediately for a dear sister in the faith from my church named Leimomi (pronounced lay-mow-mee). She is divorced, mother of several grown children, unemployed, and housbebound for nearly three years because of terrible fibrymyalgia, chronic pain syndrome (I don't know its name but it's separate from fibromyalgia) and other chronic illnesses. She can barely take care of herself and her home (which is falling apart because of the recent floods). Her doctors and specialists have already given up on treating her because none of the meds or procedures they've tried on her for the past several years have decreased her symptoms. Tragically, I received word last night that she's about ready to give up all hope and take her life. "Why live if the body-wide pain won't go away, if I'm too weak to care for myself and my home, if the doctors say there's absolutely no hope, if nobody from church visits me anymore except a couple of folks here and there." is her reasoning. Thank you'all for praying for Leimomi! I'm trying to get through to her as I'm writing this through prayer and am making plans to somehow visit her soon--even if I must find my own way around her rundown place as a blind traveler going it alone...
