Roger, I've shared this many times about following God's "domino's" ----- "let go and let God"
November 1971. God CAUSEDa neighbor to ask my husband to go with him to his daughter's home to move her to another apartment. This CAUSED my husband to be a block away from a cardiac hospital. He had a heart attack after arriving there. The friend told me he would come after me and take me to him. But, God CAUSED the friend to be held up in the infamous LA freeway traffic. I had called my Dad and stepMom to tell them that had happened. God CAUSED me to catch them before they went on their (normal) Friday night marketing. After they arrived, God CAUSED my Dad to become impatient waiting for the friend to arrive. God CAUSED us to leave and go to the hospital. When my Dad entered my husband's ER room, God CAUSED my Dad to have a heart atteck -- being in the "right place at the right time" he was rushed to ER and received an implanted heart pace-maker that had recently been invented and he lived another 10 years.
When the friend returned to the hospital after finding me not at home, and he learned what happened to my Dad he was feeling like he had caused it all. I was trying to console him and a young priest entered the room, stood in front of me causing me to stand, and said, "WE MUST PRAY!!" I don't remember what he said or what I said, but later, when I went into the chapel next to the ER waiting room to thank him for praying with me, the old, bent priest there told me that no one worked there but him. That CAUSED me to know that he wasn't of this world. He was an angel that came and prayed for me/us all when I couldn't!
When they finally allowed me to see my husband, (on Monday) I was eager to tell him about the angel that came. He waved me off, eager to tell me that Jesus Himself had come to his bedside, laid His hands on my husband and healed him!!!!
As we talked, a young man from the hospital lab' came into the room and stood at the foot of my husband's bed. He said, "I have been running your tests since you were brought here. On Friday, when you came, those tests showed you were dying. This morning your tests show that there's nothing wrong with you. I just don't understand."
My husband smiled at him and said, "Son, you can't put God in a test tube" and continued to tell him about Jesus coming and healing him. The young man shook his head and left the room. Ordinarily, we all know that a lab' tech' doesn't come to the patient and ask questions -- certainly not that one! -- so we feel God CAUSED the young man to come and ask and it later saved his soul!
God will CAUSE in your life where He wishes that you go/work you do.
Holy Father hold in your hands this believer in you, Roger, and "cause all things to come together for the good of those who love you" as you have promised us all. Amen Be it so!
