Re: [FamilyofGod] FoG

Sorry, folks, but because we all know God has foreknowledge of every breath, word, and deed, to be performed by the humans He created, before He created them, we must never humanize Him!  God doesn't "change His mind".  Romans 8:28 "God CAUSES all things to come together for the good of those who love Him."

We have no idea the abilities from His eternal realm He uses to bring about all things. God is the one in control. When believers stray down the wrong path, God already knows they will do it and already, from an eternal past, determines the people or instances or our decisions we make to "turn us around".  But, those who would stray is allowed, in many instances, to accomplish His will for us personally and for world circucmstances.

The Bible tells us that NO ONE can know the mind of God. But one thing I know -- He isn't human and doesn't ever have to "change His mind". Change OUR minds, I'm sure He can and does, but it's not the other way around!

As I pointed out before, when you used Hesakiah as an example -- The path he was walking, God knew, would lead to him dying. So, He spoke to him and told him to change his life or he would die. Not that God would kill him!  Rather, whatever Hesakiah was doing would kill him. It was a warning to Hesakiah. God (already) knew Hesakiah would change but He also knew he would have to be warned -- and He warned him.

The example I used to clarify this was -- if someone you love is doing drugs and you go to them and tell them they will die if they don't stop -- that's a warning to them. If they stop, they will live; if not, yeah, they will one day die from it.

Nope. God never has to "change His mind."  Foreknowledge and the subsequent Predestination being known to God is the factor that we must believe. Otherwise, we've considered God to be human and He ain't!

I'm thinking that, thru prayer, our hearts become humbled. And that is why God 'changes'

I'm glad you brought this up about prayer.  Can we change God's mind?  Does God change His mind?  Well I believe the answer is yes.  Many many times God changed His plans when His people would humble themselves and pray.  Look at Hesakiah.  I think it was him that God told the prophet that he was going to die.  Hesakiah prayed and God changed His mind and let him live 15 more years.  For a sign God made the sun go back 10 degrees  which can be verified through todays science.  The bible is full of times when God changed His mind.  In fact that is what prayer is all about.  We plead with God that He will change His mind.  Sometimes He does and sometimes He don't..  God loves mercy so very often He sets aside His judgment when we pray and change our ways.  Let us continue to pray for God to change His mind and have mercy on us.

Girls, you can pray until you drop on the floor but what GOD decides will stay in place.  HE is the one who allows the leaders of all the countries to be elected or placed into the leadership of the world to accomplish HIS will for the world.

Every person alive on earth could have been praying for Hitler and it wouldn't have changed a thing or saved even one Jew's life -- why??  Because throughout the Bible, God has told the Jews that He would persecute them until they come to accept His Son Jesus Christ and to this day, they still have not.  (BUT, there is Scripture that says the day is coming when they will and when they do, ALL the Jews will be saved. )

Hitler claimed and believed he was a Christian!!  He thought he was the tool of God when he punished and killed Jews. (Read the biography of his life.)

The same applies to Obama, as I have been trying to explain to everyone. There WILL be a President of this country that will lead it to impotency -- why? Because God has said so.

Start reading and studying Revelations as I have for more than three decades.  In Ancient manuscripts, this leader of the "Great Eagle" can be found !!  "Bama"

So go ahead and pray -- I do, FOR GOD'S WILL TO BE DONE!!  This impotency is happening all around us, as I have outlined in other posts -- the failure of the American dollar no longer being the "measuring stick" for the world's money (it happened 2-3 months ago) -- all the banks in the world went broke -- the economy fell on it's face --  The Europeon "union" has gathered most all the countries of the world into their group -- so look for a one-world monetary system and down the line, a one world Government. The UN (united Nations) has been looking for a man to put in charge of all the countries of the world -- the Antichrist? Probably.

So, pray -- yes!  Change God's mind -- nope!

Yes we should most definitely pray for obama.  After all he has a lot of authority and can change things.  Of course we need to pray that God will change his heart first.  I wish the Christians in Germany would have prayed for Hitler to have a change in heart.  That would have saved millions of lives.  Instead they just sit back and let it happen.

Well this group sure has changed since I have been in it. All the talk about Obama is ridiculous to me. He is our president. Whether we like it or not. All things happen for a reason. I thought this group was of prayer. I understand Obama needs prayer. So does everyone else.....Angela W.
