May the Lord bless all you and grant you all a wonderful weekend filled with His grace and joy.
As the workweek closes I once again ask my brothers and sisters in Christ to stand prayer with me.
A few months ago, without my realizing it, someone I loved was becoming involved with bad influences (drugs, drinking, peer pressure) and making bad choices. I didn't see it until it was too late. And although he has hurt me with his bad choices, I continue to keep love in my heart for him and pray for him. I pray for God to help him be released of the demons that have led him down this wrong path. To release him from his own anger and pride as well as from the people in his life right now who have led him astray.
Please pray for him with me.
I have forgiven him without his even asking for forgiveness. It took me a while to get to that point but that is where I am now. And, I know this is a LOT to ask but I ask the Lord to please restore him to me. He is a good man who made some bad choices but I know that the good in him is still there. I know that asking for this is a bit of a minor miracle but I know that all things are possible if God so wills them to be.
I also ask the Lord for my healing - emotionally and spiritually. I am broken and have felt broken for so many months now. I can slowly feel the healing hand of God at work. I ask that He continue to lay His hands on me and guide me through the dark times towards the light of peace and calm and happiness.
As for those in my life I pray for their health and safety and happiness. I pray that my mom's projects continue to enact positive changes in the lives of people as well as the environment and that her work inspires other to do the same. I pray for my brother and his wife, who are also going through a rough time with their marriage, that they work out their issues. I pray for my friend Nena, that her recent troubles of the heart do not discourage her from loving. For my friends Aerika and Raf, that their new lives together in New Zealand continues in this new year without a hitch. I pray for those who would harm or hurt me - especially those who do it deliberately and with malice. May God open their eyes and hearts to the wrong they are doing so that they change their ways.
And of course, this being election year in the Philippines, I pray that the voters choose the right candidates to put into office and not be blinded by the flash and glitter of lesser-qualified candidates. May we put the right people in the right positions to lead this country.
Today I got an email that said that we must give thanks, even on the grayest days. So I close this prayer request with my thanks to Him who keeps us in His heart.
Thank You for my breath, that I alive one more day to bask in Your glory. Thank You for my faith, which You continue to bolster with the help of Your angels here on earth. Thank You for everyone I love and care for, as well as for those who love and care for me. Thank you for my job. Thank You for my talent. Thank You for the people who prepare the food I eat. Thank You for minty fresh pure castille liquid soap that makes me bathtime an invigorating experience. Thank You for the days just passed and this day unfolding before me.
All this I lift unto Him.
God be with you all.
