He is despised and rejected by men.
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him:
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him......... ....Isaiah 53:3
When a sinner refuses to come to Christ, he is guilty because he has made a free choice. It reflects his own state of mind, feeling and attitude toward God and His Son. He has acted voluntarily without coercion. It is his decision.... ....Walter J. Chantry
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be born a virgin birth, so suffer and die on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, and to rise again on the third day so that I, too, may have the gift of eternal life. His humble birth came as a surprise to many. And because it was so humble, and not an entrance of grandeur, many rejected Him. And many continue to reject His gift today. Many times in life, things are not as they seem. We are swayed by the ways of the world, rather than the truth of Your Word. I pray for those, Dear Lord, who have rejected Your most precious gift, those who do not proclaim Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Help them, Dear Lord, to recognize the Truth of Your Word. To accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah, and to proclaim the gospel to all of mankind. In Jesus most precious name, I pray. Amen.
