Jesus Saw Their Faith
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:3).
Bible says, "He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6). And we go to our Lord and seek His face in prayer, trusting, He will answer our requests. When we bring others before the throne of grace to our Lord Jesus Christ, He sees our faith and does miracles.
Faith for Salvation: In Mark 2:3-12, we read of four men carrying a paralytic to Jesus Christ. (Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. Mark 2:3). Our Lord Jesus Christ saw their faith, forgave his sins and healed him. (When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you." I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go your way to your house." Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" Mark 2:5,11,12).
The four men might have been a relative of the paralytic or friend or neighbor; but they brought him to Jesus Christ believing in the Lord. And our Lord Jesus saw their faith, forgave the sins of paralytic and healed him. There are people around us who need the love of Christ, His forgiveness, compassion and healing. We may be neighbor or friend to them, in faith let us lift them in prayer and bring them before our Lord Jesus. As we do so, our Lord Jesus Christ will see our faith, give them the joy of salvation and heal them.
Faith for Healing: In Matthew 8:5-13, we read about a centurion who came to Jesus Christ pleading for his servant. (Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented." Matthew 8:5,6). Our Lord Jesus Christ marveled at his faith and said: the centurion has "great faith". (When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Matthew 8:10). Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour. (Matthew 8:13).
The centurion came to Jesus Christ pleading for the healing of his servant; and Jesus Christ saw his faith, healed his servant. The centurion had other servants to execute his commands (Matthew 8:9); but he had compassion on his servant who was suffering. We may be surrounded with people who can help us, but there are people who are suffering or in need in one way or other. We need to take them to the throne of grace and plead for their cause to our Lord God.
Bible doesn't say, the centurion just came to Jesus Christ for his servant; but came pleading for him. As we pray for higher authorities and officials (I Timothy.2:1-4), with compassion let us also plead to our Lord Jesus Christ for the needs of those who are supporting us in our work and those who are under us. Our Lord Jesus Christ on seeing our faith will heal them, provide them with their needs, so that all will see the mighty hand of God and glorify our Father in heaven.
Faith for Deliverance: In Matthew 15:21-28, we read about a woman of Canaan who came crying to our Lord Jesus Christ for deliverance of her daughter. (And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed." Matthew 15:22). Jesus Christ on seeing her great faith granted her desire and her daughter was healed. (Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:28).
We go to our Lord God praying for our needs and to fulfill the desires of our heart. Our Lord God graciously grants us all that we need and in fact more than what we ask for it. Let us also desire for the deliverance of our dear ones and cry to our Lord for His mercy, grace and blessing on them. Here we see, our Lord Jesus Christ saw her faith, delivered and healed her daughter. Let us also cry to our Lord Jesus Christ for the deliverance and healing of our dear ones. Our Lord Jesus Christ will see our faith, deliver them and heal them.
Beloved ones, it is good to have faith and ask our Lord Jesus for our needs. But, let us also bring our neighbors, colleagues, friends and relatives to our Lord Jesus Christ in prayer, plead for their needs and cry for their deliverance and healing. Our Lord Jesus Christ in His abundant mercy and grace, on seeing our faith, will heal them, deliver them and give them the joy of salvation for the glory of His name.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20,21)
And the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. (Job 42:10)
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:15,16)
