1 John 2;18
18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1 John 4: 1-3
1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
So the antichrist is already here?
He has been here since John wrote this. So this spirit of antichrist has been pretty busy for a long time. How could he have been here for so long and us not know it?
So who is this "antichrist"? Of course John gives us a hint here. That spirit is everyone who confesses that Jesus didn't come in the flesh.
Who doesn't believe that Jesus came in the flesh? I don't think there is anyone. I think "came in the flesh" means came as a human. Many many today don't believe that Jesus was actually human.
It's true. Many if not most of the people have made Jesus into something he is not. So that would be the spirit of antichrist.
Another word for anti christ is "false christ".
The orthodox teaching says that Jesus is God. If Jesus is God he cannot be a man or human. God is not a human. Do you see the spirit of antichrist here?
The trinity doctrine which started not long after John died does turn Jesus into God. This would be a false Christ or "anti christ".
So this spirit of anti christ has been really busy for about 1700 years. Are you following the true Christ or the false christ? The anti christ is here so be careful. Many millions have died fighting against this false doctrine that promotes the anti christ.
