Subject: [FamilyofGod] Lord, help us and our loved ones to delight ourselves in You!
Lord God, Your Word says in Ephesians 4:20-24...
20 But you did not learn Christ in this way,
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is
being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,
23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Lord, help us and our loved ones to delight ourselves in You. Teach us to have the kind of relationship You want us to have with You, Lord. One in which we can enjoy time spent in Your presence. Lord God, we know that You also want this kind of delightful friendship with each one of us, which develops through commitment, trust, and patience. Help us to be mindful of You in all circumstance and seek this kind of fellowship with You at all times.
Teach us to commit our ways to You, God, and to welcome You to examine our desires and plans. We invite You to alter whatever does not fit Your purpose or advance Your plans for our lives.
Strengthen our faith and help our unbelief and trust in You, Lord God, Who is worthy of our faith and Who gave Jesus Christ to save wicked sinners. You, Father, the One who would not spare Your only Son will certainly provide all that we, Your precious children, need.
Remind us and help us to continually rest in You, God. For when we fret about an issue or something that we consider necessary, we are neither committing ourselves to You nor trusting in You, Lord. Because of our limited human viewpoint, waiting patiently is rarely easy but with our focus on You it can be done. Help us in our waiting to always remember that You know when the circumstances and timing are perfectly aligned for Your will to be done in our lives.
Help us to have a growing relationship with the You, Lord, even though it can be hard work at times. Help our commitment to You be drawn from an effort that is a labor of love rather than from obligation, because we are designed to derive joy from being in Your presence. Teach us that the greatest pleasure we can experience in life is walking hand in hand with a Father who adores us. We give you praise and honor, praying and asking all this in Jesus precious and holy name. Amen
Deborah
Oh Lord, hear my prayers and answer my cries for the marriage and salvation of my husband, our four children, our parents, our family, the Body of Christ, our friends, out leaders, our co-workers, and our enemies. Grant each one of them the blessed gifts of brokenness, repentance, confession, faith, and salvation along with sanctification and service in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. AMEN!!!
