[Church_of_Christ] Re: The essence of worship

ED: If I have spoken pridefully, I am not aware of it. All I am trying to do is to do what I can confidently practice as NT practice. If that is prideful, then I do not know the meaning of the word. You often use the word "uninspired" in reference to others you answer. Why do you do that? Do you mean to suggest that they are not reading and studying the Bible just as you are trying to do? Is their a veiled insult here? Just a question.
Clay's response:
It isn't just "how we say a thing" that can indicate pride Bro Ed.
It can be the "thing" it self that we speak of.
Like "WE" have restored the NT church for God"
I often use the word "uninspired" to remind us if it isn't scripture it really doesn't matter what another "thinks" as to what everyone else needs to grasp.
That's what conclusios are Bro Ed, "uninspired"
I have often wondered, what if we dialogued a topic that some were divisive over and the only source one could use was copied and pasted "inspired text" from the scriptures, how that would work and then let us each draw our own conclusions without being divisive with one another. After we draw our conclusions then put them in that BIG GLAD bag of Romans 14.<grin> What ever you believe about these things, keep between yourself and the Lord.
You know just forget "our" divisive doctrines and "continue in the Apostles doctrine."
Grace and peace Clay
