[Church_of_Christ] Re: The essence of worship

I am grateful for those who came before me. I respect their efforts,

Clay's response:
Bro Ed when we can feel that way towards all followers and
equally respect their efforts, the accomplishments they made,
even the conclusions they drew, even when we differ in some
way or another, I believe that is what the Lord would of done
had he been in our shoes.
I agree we need not seek out who's to blame for it matters little,
God will deal with all of that BUT what I fear more than that
we have lost even a greater respect for the original Fathers of
our movement, and the simple "inspired word" that they penned and
all they suffered in order to do all of that for us.
I see some of US giving more weight and trust in what our founding
Fathers concluded than what God's Holy Spirit presents.
I realize some exalt Campbell and Stone and those other uninspired
men seemingly greater than Jesus and the Apostles and that is their right to do that, BUT I can't do that, nor will I do that and I am sorry it grieves you to the degree it does.
We ALL need to be disciples of the Christ and give up our man made
religious leaders and their doctrines that have all but destroyed unity of the Spirit through a bond of peace.
That would include Baptist, Methodist, Jehovah Witness, Catholics,
or anyother group who's loyalty is in mere men.
Grace and peace Clay
