One of God's primary means of encouraging Christians everywhere is with truth – truth revealed by the Holy Spirit. The repository of that truth is the Bible. That is what Paul wrote, "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope" (Rom. 15:4).......
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Words of encouragement that we find in the Holy Scriptures. We all face days of trials and tribulations and it is easy to become discouraged in this world of pain and sufferings. But all we need do is to open the pages of Your Book and we can find comfort and solace in Your love, mercy and grace. No matter what today may bring or what the future may have in store for us, we can face it head on with Jesus on our side. In our sorrow, we can smile, in our pain, we can laugh, in our weakness, we can find strength. I pray, Dear Lord, for those who do not know Jesus. Those who suffer alone. I pray that they turn to You for encouragement, for hope, for strength, for mercy, for grace. In Jesus most precious name, I pray. Amen.
