when we did it we went 2 or 3 times a week to different places. but it was between church services on sunday, on saturday and i think it was thursday night.

thats such a good thing to do ya know? I was locked up too for a awhile and i know those men and women really enjoy hearing gods word!!

With the holiday season fast approaching I start to think about what I can do to show my gratitude to God. I try to think of the people to whom I can share my gratitude with and I think of the inmates at all the facilities. I was incarcerated for three years and I spent that time in several of those facilities, most of which I was lucky enough to have caring people to spend there time coming to share the word of God with me. Most people think of inmates and think the worst, in most cases they are just people who have made some bad choices. Consider sharing some of your time this year giving back, check with your local jail and find out how you can get involved with the jail ministries program in your area. I know from experience that it is greatly appreciated.
