I agree! When people are bombarded with those arguments three times a week it is very difficult to understand the overall picture of the gospel. I find myself beginning to believe the conclusions that come from the proof text when I listen to them again.

We were taught not to read any material other than the (inspired) CoC scholars. The internet is an excellent way to hear pro and con on the subject and we can learn from others, if we want to change. Many are afraid to change, because they have been taught that they have the perfect interpretation of the Bible and to change makes them imperfect.

They need to understand that grace covers the imperfect, not the perfect. Grace is not for the law keeper it is only for the law breaker.
