Cole: You evidently misunderstood my comments. My comment was in regard to the CoC's use of Acts 20:7 and their proof texting of it into a doctrine of every Sunday and Sunday only Lord's Supper. And to the point that they teach this is as an exclusive doctrine of the church and teach their members to have no association with any denomination who does not
practice every Sunday Lord's Supper. This is a classic example of proof texting; of lifting a Scripture out of its narrative and making an exclusive doctrine.
ED: If you have been following this thread, you know I am having a hard enough time keeping up with answering all the posts directed my way without trying to defend what the CoC may or may not do. I'll let whoever their spokesperson is answer for them; I'll answer for what I write. Now as for that, I see the NT revealing that the Lord's Day is the 1st day of the week and that early Christians observed the LS on that day. I am happy enough to do just that and not go beyond.
