How easy it is to let something like that slip from your mind. Apparently you once knew what creeds were for. So now that you testify that you don't know what they are for, let me bring your forgotten info back to you:
Again, more nasal gazing. I find it helpful to include the other person's remarks so they will clearly know what you are talking about and can correct any misunderstandings.
creeds are statements of doctrinal positions that people are asked to assent to before they are approved.
I'm not sure where you get this idea. It's certainly not been my experience. Creeds have nothing to do with doctrine or church practices or so has been my experience. They are simple Bible truths such as Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered and died at the hands of Pilate and was resurrected on the third day and seen by a host of witnesses.
