George: Why don't you simply introduce me to just one person who can raise the dead by speaking a word or someone who can speak in an unknown tongue to them but known by anybody else or someone who can interpret a tongue unknown to them but known by anybody else. You can erase every doubt in my mind so, why don't you?

Ray: You deny the presence and avaialbility of gifts as surely as you affirm that your name is George. . . . The fact that you don't expect to meet someone who has gifts is the final proof of your self-contradictions in this entire post.

George: Just introduce me to him.

Ray: We are too sophisticated today for a real God who does real miracles and gives real supernatural power.

ED: Ray, you are pinned and don't know it. Game, set, match! There is not a person on this forum that would not love to share in every single gift that God offers and eagerly accept the 1 Cor 12 spiritual gifts! I know I would! I think it would be marvelous! I am satisfied George shares my enthusiasm at receiving everything God gives to his disciples. But your unwillingness to even cooperate with this simple request demonstrates your claims are a farce. In the past I have prayed that God supply me with these 1 Cor 12 gifts. I have witnessed the demonstration of those who assured me they had what I prayed for. I found it to be of the devil, not of God, lies and fabrications, certainly nothing that even comes close to that in scripture. Moreover, I found that it did not produce the fruit of the Spirit at all. Rather it produced an arrogant self-assured smugness based on error and not on God's word. My Lord instructs me to "test all things and hold fast to what is good." That instruction is directly contexted to the use of spiritual gifts - it is not too much to ask of you what George has asked! So put up or shut up!
