John 4:23-25 (English Standard Version)
23But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father(D) is seeking such people to worship him. 24God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
Same for the Lord's supper:
1 Corthians 11
25In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death(A) until he comes.
27(B) Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord(C) in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning(D) the body and blood of the Lord.
That is what the scriptures TEACH.
Now if you wish to go beyound what is written, then Ray believes that
is OK, there by permitting you to BIND on your brethren, The doctrine of Scott.
