No sarcasm just a nudge to not be a "works" type of person whenever I hear people say we must do what only God can do in us it makes me cringe..... we cannot change ourselves. It is impossible for you to be what you are not, so trying to be what you aren't is a mistake. I want to be clear on this, Jesus made it very clear.... apart from me you can do nothing, a branch apart from the vine dies as there is no life in it apart from the vine.
I am not trying to be sarcastic in any way. I have no particular wants to make anyone want to feel like I do. My only sarcasm might be against the error of unscriptual notions.

We are told to be in Christ and it is clear from scripture it is common for some to leave the simplicity that is in Christ....

2Cr 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ

AM I an enemy of yours because I questioned why you would say we need to make fruit for God instead of allowing him to do what only he can do in us?

I told the story of Esau because it is human to bring the work of our hands to God and offer it to him. You remember he was rejected , right? What God wants from us is faith in the finished work of Jesus and our obedience in faith in what he wants to do in and through us.
