Subject: [FamilyofGod] One Soul Leads to Another
One Soul Leads to Another
One thing leads to another and one soul leads to another. Andrew finds Jesus and gets his brother, Peter, and brings him to Jesus. The dividends from that little episode are astronomical, don't you think? Have you ever heard of Sanjay David? Most have not, but many have heard of D. L. Moody! Well, Sanjay David went to a shoe store and led a 16-year-old boy to Christ, Dwight L. Moody, who brought thousands to Christ. Think of the rewards Sanjay David laid up in heaven. Don't you wish you had as much laid up in heaven? You could if you would obey the Lord and get the gospel to "every" person with whom you have a few moments of verbal contact.
While I was studying in a hotel, a knock came at my door and there stood the maid ready to clean the room. Politely I said, "Kind lady, I am real busy studying and don't really need the room cleaned." "Oh, but sir," she said, "I must clean the room or the manager will chew me out. Just let me come in and at least give you fresh towels." About that time, I realized the Lord must have sent her and let her in.
In a few minutes she had tidied up and was ready to leave. Graciously I handed her a tract and said, "This tells you how to go to heaven." Quickly she responded, "Oh, my, do I ever need that." Anyone could have led her to Christ she was so ready to be saved. What a joy it was! After she left I sat back down to study and realized how I almost missed a wonderful opportunity and asked the Lord to forgive me for almost being too busy to win someone He had prepared.
About 30 minutes later another knock came at my door and there stood the same maid. Excitedly she said, "Sir, I know you are busy and I hate to disturb you but I just cleaned a room down the hall and told the lady how you talked to me and I had just gotten saved. Sir, the lady broke out crying and said she wants to be saved too. Could you talk to her?" Overwhelmed? You bet I was! In a few minutes I shared with this lady how God loved her and Christ suffered and died for her sins and rose again. Under deep conviction she prayed to receive the Lord Jesus as her Savior. What a thrill!
When she left I bowed my head and asked God to forgive me for almost missing one of the greatest thrills of my life. Could it be that we have all missed some thrills like this because we were too busy or used some other excuse for not sharing the gospel with someone God had brought across our path? "The harvest is plenteous" and we need to believe it.
Jesus said to Jerusalem, "How often I would have gathered you together and you would not let me." (Lk. 13:34) No doubt God could say to most of us, "How often I would have used you and you would not let me." What a tragedy to miss out on such eternal rejoicing and rewards. Folks, our world is in deep trouble and the only solution is not legislation but salvation. We believers are the only ones who can offer this to people. We, you and I, must get dead serious and get this gospel to "every" person with whom we have that moment of personal contact.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matt. 28:19,20) Amen.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and I could say, "I used everything that you gave me."
