yea i need to stop listening to POP music so much, i like it and i know alot of it is bad so im working on just listening to christian music

I got rid of my old YouTube account and got another one. I only listen to christian/gospel on it. I also have a GodTube account. There are sermons and songs on there. My mom has so many christian books and Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar CDs and DVDs. So I try to immerse myself in this type of things all the time. From the time I get up in the morning and all throughout the day I listen to gospel. I even have taken all the other music off of my phone and I only have gospel/christian/jazz on my phone. I just felt that when I rededicated that I should get rid of known sin as God instructs. :-)

Thanks. I do actually do play my gospel and christian music daily, oftentimes, many hours. Actually, they don't mind it at all. It's just that sometimes their behavior is negative and I just do not want to fall back. The devil will always creep up and tell you how much easier it is to just be selfish and do what you used to do, but NO! I don't want to go back there. I want better for myself. I know GOD has better in store for me...LOTS better. Thank you so much for this reassurance.

I know He is good and He is there to help. :-)

there's no limit to god s forgiveness. pray about the situation daily and it will change for the better. play ur music outloud if they prorest and telll u to turn yours down then tell them fine but they will have to turn thers down or use their earphones.... resist the urge to swear yourself and u will eventually hear it less and less.

Hiya, Family!

I have been pondering something over the last few days and I have prayed about it. Ever since I have rededicated and have been trying to line my life up with God's Word, there are still instances where I sin. My questions are these:

1) How are we to respond if we live (or work, or otherwise have to be) in an environment where sin (cursing, pornography, explicit song lyrics, etc.) is taking place all the time? I live at home with my mother and my siblings participate in these things and when they curse, play the music, etc., since I used to listen to that type of music and curse (among other things), I find their language repeating in my mind. Then I immediately go and repent constantly during the day.

2) Is it possible to sin too much and ask for forgiveness to much and even repent too much? Some sin that I participated in during my former life, I did so for years and some of those habits surface again and I have to stop and immediately ask for forgiveness and repent.

I'm confused and that terrifies me because I KNOW that God is not a God of confusion. Maybe that's Satan on my shoulder... I am aware that Jesus lived our life without sin and died for our sins, past, present, and future, but isn't there a limit to this forgiveness...even if we are just a babe in Christ?
